Somewhere In The Ether…

Two admittedly rather stark terms describing polar opposite states and situational context may of course directly dictate one’s answer but, for the pure sake of simplicity, which camp would you generally classify yourself as good folks?

I'm both.

When I'm well I'm the life and soul of the party.

When I'm unwell I shut myself away and won't see anyone.

I’m an introverted extrovert. I like being social but when my battery dies I need to be alone.

I can also be both depending on the situation and who I’m with. I’m generally pretty confident but can go into my shell sometimes in a big group setting when others are louder and more outgoing.

"I’m an introverted extrovert. I like being social but when my battery dies I need to be alone. "

I think this best explains me as well. I go through phases as well where I want to go out and be sociable and other phases where I just want to stay in and keep myself to myself.

Introvert when I don't know someone.

Extrovert when I do.

I only have a certain social energy in me per day though, once it's gone I can't talk to anyone.

I've mellowed, I used to be massively extrovert on those personality tests, but maybe it is the change from the pandemic and the lack of mingling that means when I now do a Myers Briggs test I am not longer off the extrovert scale

You can definitely be both.

I am mostly an extrovert but once I’ve had enough of people I go back into my shell and can be there for weeks, months…

Introvert. I can do the social thing but it drains my soul and I need lots of silence to recover

Selectively extroverted and also enjoy time to myself to recharge.

I must have a split personality, depends on my mood. Though the extrovert does try to fight though

Like many others it seems. I'm a bit of each. I see myself as more introverted but I'm told I'm more extroverted. Basically I don't know.

My life is like hokey kokey.

Introvert in that I recharge on my own.

More ambivert in that I burst out of my shell when I'm comfortable

99% introvert and I just want to be alone.

But when I'm in the other 1% mood, extremely extrovert.

Can be quite introverted, have had the same group of friends I had since was old enough to play out and grew up with and don’t make new friends easy and have absolutely zero desire to fit in or belong
