I don't think people would share as we're all here for the same thing, what would they have to gain?

I share face pics with people I’m already starting to trust. Even if that’s only from starting to know them a little by how they are on these forums.

I’m careful, but I decided long ago to be open on Fab, as far as I can be.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

The first time I had a public face pic on my profile (face and boobs actually...), it ended up being posted on the town's Facebook gossip page because someone claimed to his wife that I'd sent it to him. He had saved it from here to his phone.

So... yeah. Good times.

I should point out though... didn't stop me. If I'm looking to meet people, or sometimes even if I'm not I do have a public face pic. It saves people messaging and then being scared by the face, that's just disappointing.

But people will be people. Sadly some people will share things they shouldn't... as not everyone is as discreet as they claim.

The golden rule we've always stuck to is this.

Keep face pics 100% vanilla and just head and shoulders clothed photos that wouldn't look out of place on Facey (but not actually ones you've used anywhere else).

That way should the worst happen there's actually nothing to link you to any naked shots you have or in fact your entire profile.

You can maintain plausible deniability and should the need arise just say 'that's not me/us and we're not on Fab'.

It's unlikely anyone will look to meet without exchanging face pics so needs must. The alternative is to just stick to clubs.

I don't really share face pics anymore unless I'm close to meeting someone but as I am not doing any new meets it's not an issue.

I won't share early in any conversation anymore if that doesn't suit the other person that's fine. They can move on.

I have had my face pic shared by someone on here before and that has made me a lot more wary of sharing pics.

My private life is just that I have never felt the need to talk about what I get up to I my own time to others and I prefer to keep it that way.

Like someone else said best to keep face pics just that with no nudity though as people do share them on. It happens quite often unfortunately.

Pictures in general make me feel uncomfortable,

I hate posting them

I don't have any face pics public on my profile and only 1 pic with my face cropped out.

Then I have 2 non public pics, one is a face pic, one is a full body pic.

I never send face pics first, especially not to anyone local to me and man am I glad I don't, the first couple I got messaging wen I first joined fab, turned out to be my next door nieghbours!!

I live in a really small village, (and there are a surprising amount of people who live here, who are on here!) And I like to keep my private life private.

Also.... I got revenge porned years ago by an ex partner, so I exercise the rule of....

'if I wouldnt want my mother to see it, I probably shouldn't send it!' after my mother did see the revenge porn (and my father, and my brother's, and sister and employer, and just about every single other person you eouldnt want seeing a video of you of that nature!)

So Im really careful about what I send, and to whom

I think if you have a job that would be compromised or family who would disapprove of indeed any situation where being outed as being a swinger would cause problems you should be wary of the type of picture you share. Never publish or send any explicit photos with your face clearly showing is something we learned very early on

You're welcome!

It's definitely safer to split real life from here. Even if people have the 'I don't care I'm not doing anything wrong' mentality, I still feel its unfair on family, work colleagues and friends to potentially have tour lifestyle choices impact them negatively. Just because we choose to swing I wouldn't want anyone abusing my siblings, our parents or anyone we know, and unfortunately some will use anything that can be viewed as a negative lifestyle choice as ammunition to gossip and shit stir.

The danger with that is that a reverse image search will lead them to your vanilla social media and potentially more info about you than you'd care to share.

In a nutshell yes and I minimise the risk but only sending pics to people I know I’ll meet.

I also accept that there’s a risk everytime I go to a group social that I might bump into someone I know and accept that risk

As has been stated here, I’m amazed at how many people go out of their way to ‘out’ or ‘expose’ fabbers

If I send an opening message I send a face pic, I mark the box which deletes the pic once opened and quite franky I'm not to bothered if I'm recognized.

You could argue going to a club, you might get recognized as well.

I have seen a profile on here of someone I work with, I wouldn't mention anything to them and would expect the same from others.

I’ve bumped into loads of people in clubs that I know.

And I live 2 hours away from all of them so none on my doorstep.

Think the difference is that they have made the same effort to go that I have.

More random/ blank profiles on here that would do more damage than genuine people in clubs x

We feel we have enough pics on our profile that people can make an informed decision about if they find us interesting to them, we have recently decided that we won’t be sending out face pics anymore due to fakes and pic collectors, so we’ll want to chat for a bit first and see if we get along etc and swap pics down the line.

Some getting very upset by this and want what they want when they want it, but these are usually the people who don’t send pics but ask you for yours.

We have a family and careers, and swinging can do damage to both (have seen people lose their job) so a certain amount common sense has to be used I think. If you are totally at ease with it and have face pics up on your profile, then more power to you

But I don’t think others should be punished for being more cautious.

Very much one of those subjects of Each to their Own.....

It goes without saying that the vast majority of the general public consider Swinging and or Open Sexual fantasy is Taboo. Even though most probably enjoy the idea but for one reason or another afraid of what their friends, family or colleagues will say of them. Sad fact but true.

Personally I know what being a Swinger is thought of and keep my lifestyles very separate. We all know what can happen when we give full details of ourselves out to the general public and its not good.

But common sense will be that if you are going to actually meet someone then a face pic is needed. I have one face pic which I keep in my Friends only album. But I'm aware that even that can be a problem sometimes. So is kept very clean clothed.

Problem here is there are to many who want to friend you without knowing more about each other.

I don't keep face pics in my friends gallery, I'll share a vanilla one if chatting with someone a bit though.

My daughter knows I'm on here, my mum wouldn't have the foggiest what they'd be talking about. So that's outing to family sorted. I doubt my employer wouldn't have an issue, as I've nothing identifying on my profile, and I don't mention where I work.
