"I watched, The Bank Of Dave the other week. It was actually rather charming; a quintessentially British, feel good film - if you enjoy such fare " I watched this and loved it! Had no idea it was based on a true story either

"I watch a load of foreign under the radar stuff, not to most people's taste, with the exception of a few on here,'incendies' was a superb french Canadian film by denis villeneuve, also if you want a good mystery thriller the look no further than'tell know one' a french masterpiece " I'll take the foreign stuff over most of the usual hollywood fodder these days- oh look! another super hero/fast n furious/horse flogging peice of rubbish with millions spent on effects to hide the lack of story and script development. When your budget is less than the cost of a hollywood stars trailer rental, you need to make sure your script and story are bang on...a lot of the world cinema genre do just this. What sources do you get your films from?

"I watched two films over the weekend: Brian And Charles and Good Luck To You, Leo Grand. The first was rather sweet and involves a lonely but harmless soul (David Earl from Derek and Afterlife) building a robot….which comes to life. The second one is a character driven piece starring Emma Thompson and concerns her character finding personal empowerment through hiring a male sex worker. I could be crass and recommend the latter one based purely upon the fact that Emma bears it all onscreen but that would be to criminally undermine what is a truly a fascinating character study with a great lead performance " David Earl is fantastic and very much under-utilised. He was one of the absolute stars of Afterlife (along with old KP)...and definitely worth watching the outtakes on YouTube too - absolutely hilarious!
