As the subject suggets, and why.

Go nuts if you like and list your top 3, but keep it to a maximum of 3, dont want you going too nuts now.

Morrisons - Salad counter

Asda - Cheapest

Waitrose - For being really posh and price matching with Tesco's.

(That would of said Tesco for the clubcard but I dont have one)

.

I did my weekly shop for cupboard goods at Morrisons going up to Christmas as they were giving a £30.00 voucher if you shopped there for 8 weeks.

I normally shop at Sainsburys and did really miss it. Back there straight after Christmas

So for me Sainsburys and Morrisons at a push

Sainsburys purely and simply because of convenience.

Morrisons fish counter is the best so on fishy Fridays I may make the effort to go there.

What is tiger bread ?

In no particular order...

ALDI - best price/quality balance

LIDL - best potato salad (the yoghurt one) anywhere!

ASDA - best for scoring (Thurs evenings in the pasta aisle)

Sainsbury - best wine department and a far better class of MILF than ASDA or Tesco and, more importantly, keeps the scum out of...

Waitrose - ah... bliss.... Feel at home here.....

M&S - only when they have the £10 meal deal thingys, but dislike having to grapple on the floor with over-feisty grannies to get the free bottle of wine.

Morrissons - robbing Northern gits who robbed me of my favourite Safeway's.....

No its not.

Make your own, I know Asda and Morries sell the stuff. Comes in a tube, you pop it open, unroll the pastry and roll it back up into individuals. You bake them yourself for 12 mins and cost £1.50 for x6.

Warm fresh croissants from your sofa.

. £1.50 for 6??? And come in tube??? Errrmmmm that must taste shit. Or wait till you taste a real fresh croissant baked at 3am and straightfrom oven at 7am for your breakfast. No industrial stuff in it. That is what I call croissant.

No no, they are quite nice actually and seeing as you just baked them, they are actually 'Fresh' and still warm. Probably what makes them such a success. They wont need to be re-heated, if you want it warm. Bit like freshly baked bread, still warm, the best way to eat it I think.

I doubt the tubed variety have 'industrial' stuff in them, probably similar stuff to the other available criossants, otherwise you'd have to call them a diff name.

Im all for not judging until I have tried but I dont want to go to Paris. I dont want to go to France either to be honest. Certanly not just for a croissant.

I call these home made Croissants a Croissant as thats what it says on the tube. I imagine they are small compared to yours, perhaps dont taste as good, but they are a quality breakfast.

1. Tesco ... in fact only shop at Tesco thru choice, occasionally shop at Asda but never thru choice ...

2 Billa ... this a wonderful supermarket in Venice which we use when we are there ... good price, lovely food, slightly confusing layout but i am sure i would get used to it if i lived there

Not being pedantic, it never used to be classed as one. Yeah times change, have they in this case?

Your not the first in this thread to name M+S as one.

Morrisons fruit and veg is very fresh, fish and meat isn't bad either.

Asda for the storecupboard basics

Should use Tesco more for the clubcard points but find the food utter crap nowaday.

For treats it's Waitrose or if I'm in London it's got to Harrods.

Anyone not use supermarkets?

I buy most our bread and fruit and veg from Newark market. Way better than supermarket stuff anyway.

Meat from local butcher. Again far better and cheaper!

Toiletries and stuff like that from Boots but I am thinking of going to a pound shop for some of that stuff.

Other bits I tart around all the names

I hate to break the news to you hun but even Parisian bakers are using pre-made mix. Apparently there are only two bakeries in Paris that still make their own.

As they are stuffed full of butter I give them a miss anyway.

Waitrose - choice, quality, ethical policies, partnership, lots of the partners know me and it's next door to my office.

Sainbury's - Pain de Campagne (and sometimes a jam doughnut).

i hate shopping - aldi is amazing. their food is nice, they only have one of each type of item which is brilliant for indecisive confused people like me, its really cheap and you can get round it in 20 minutes flat for your weekly shop. hate all other shops but especially tesco. i think they are really evil
