After waking up at 4:30am yesterday and working 6-12 in a heavily demanding retail job where you're on the go constantly (Aldi), I managed to walk 4.5 miles to my local town centre to get my bike fixed (turned out it wasnt fixed at all as now I have to walk down there again Thursday for a replacement part) I managed to grab myself a massive 21,186 steps, this is the most I've done considering I usually do about 8k-10k a day!

How many do you achieve a day and what's the most you have done?

Current average is just under 10k a day.

In last job in a warehouse it was between 15k-20k.

Job before that was a bigger warehouse so anything from 20k-30k a day.

Most I've done in one day though was 55k

I tend to do about 15-18k on a normal day but easily mid 20k once or twice a week. I don’t sit down a lot OP

Desk job right now, so I’m lucky to get above 4000 a day.

My highest was a charity walk 2 years ago. Did 78,000. Feet were ruined.

I work from home doing a desk job in my one bed flat. I don’t measure steps but I’d be stunned if I clocked more than 100 (although I do run in the evenings)

Usually between 15-25k per day.

Avg for 2022 was 19,987

So far this year 17,345

Most in a day was 42,000 on a charity walk.

Also I can’t emphasise enough about wearing comfy shoes

My job involves me walking a lot, I often walk there and back too which adds an extra 3 mile(ish) per day. I don't count my steps but I'd imagine they'd be high

The dog adds maybe 1500 - 2000 steps to that.

Im a yard operative at the car auctions in Glasgow and we do 22, 23.000 steps a day 5 days a week. Legs like steel.

Depending on my shift, anything between 10-20k a day.

If I'm off, might not make 2k, or as many as 25k

Most was weekend in Split where I averaged 35k a day.
