I wasn't sure whether to title this as Gordon Strachan RIP or Gordon Strachan, Scotland Football Manager as both have a similar ring to it.

Anyway, BBC are reporting that Strachan will be announced as the new Scotland manager, possibly as early as this afternoon.

His target is to finish third in the current World Cup Qualifying group in order to give Scotland a slightly easier draw in the Euro 2016 Qualifiers

Well he played well enough at Leeds, but as a manager? Hmmmm

Good luck too him…..

Although I don’t feel it’s an inspired choice, I like seeing any Scotland side do well for the Tartan army….

It's a tough job at the moment, Scottish football isn't producing the amazing talent it did in previous decades. Mind neither is English football for that matter.
