Sleeves first, then one side of front, back, next side of front and finally collar.

Used to be all shirts ironed whilst watching a programme, now wear them so infrequently, its just one and there is a huge pile waiting accusingly!

I'm with you on this one. It's very rare I do it though as they are my sons and he only wears shirts when going somewhere dressy, he's more of a t-shirt type normally.

More or less standard procedure though I do the yoke after collar and before sleeves

One should always do the fiddly bits first - collar, shoulders, cuffs. Then sleeves, back and onto the two front panels so they remain pristine.

Always best done when slightly damp, lots of steam.

Both sides of the sleeves first, them the front, flip it over, see there's a crease on the back as a result of ironing the front, spend 10 minutes trying to iron that out, give up and hope no one notices

Learnt how to iron a razor sharp crease years ago in the army. Handy if we ever go to war with irons and ironing boards.
