Can anyone help. So I have a recorded DVD from some years ago that won't play now because it's say's it's corrupt. Is there anything on the market or anyway I can retrieve the film that's on their ?

Have you tried to open the dvd folders?

Have you tried to copy it.Sometimes it's just the header that is corrupt but the files are still ok.

To be honest I'm not very computer literate though I do have a laptop with a CD/DVD burner on it if that helps ?

Is the disc one that was produced commercialy or recorded with a DVD burner?

Recordable DVDs can sometimes break down over time.

Yes it's a recorded DVD that was burnt some years ago. I thought I might still have the original video but haven't been able to find it

Try accessing the dvd as a normal disc on your laptop. Is there any folder or file structure?

Place the dvd in the laptop. Do not play but open it. See if you can play the individual files. If you can there's a good chance you can remake the dvd.

Only way possible put it in the computer open the file save it so it's in the computer files then use another disk and download it to that disk

If I do manage to save it then I'll have to see regarding sharing it but probably not as I doubt the woman involved would want it shared and but I could possibly describe what is on the recording should anyone be interested ?
