First one I can remember was a double bill at wolverhampton,was Journey to centre of the earth and Bambi,was around 9,but proper blockbuster was Grease in 1978,went with my sister,parents wouldn't let her go on her own,I was 13 back then.

I watched it last night as I said our house was as cold as the Fortress of Solitude and no one in my family recognised the reference. Sacrilege. So they all sat like Alex in A Clockwork Orange watching Superman to correct said situation.

I cried, even the ice cream sundae my Dad bought me afterwards didn't work! Then we went home and Mum asked about the film which started me crying again

I couldn't listen to Bright Eyes either after that

The Cinema was a traumatic place for me when I was little.....Bloody Star Wars and Bambi!

My first real cinema memory is seeing the trailer for The Lion King and being absolutely desperate to watch it. I'm not sure how long in advance they used to show trailers, but it felt like 2 years before it was finally released.
