No. I honestly believe that Best Friends + Sex is the formula for finding yourself in a relationship before you know it.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think you can love someone and have sex with them but not feel romantically in love with them. I think we end up using words like "fond" in order to avoid using the "l" word.

Yes I think you can. I don't do romantic love (long story many reasons) but I love my bestie lots and we have been known on a few occasions to have a little bit of naughty fun. Its a different kind of love and I don't equate feelings to sex.

I prefer care deeply about someone more than love x

Of course you can. Love is an emotion that you feel for anybody that makes you feel like you need them in your life. Love has nothing to do with sex. I love my mum, my sister and my dog but I wouldn't sleep with them. Every girl I've ever loved and had a sexual relationship with is no longer around. But every friend or relation that I love still is.

I suppose so - never really thought about it.

Would people say that there is a divisable line between someones partner and their best friend?

Am the only soppy git that believes that your partner is also the person with whom you would share that bond the closest?

also how often - writing this without a lot of thought as dashing out in a min - if it was a very occasional occurance then its possible - if regular then id say its more than it may seem -

The ancient greeks had 4 words for love, describing different kinds of love, i think they were pretty clever!

I think there is a difference in 'loving' someone and being 'in love' with them.

Ya know German really is an easier language

Once the L word comes up your on a slippery slope if you don't want to go there its best avoided.

I agree with you, my other half is my best friend I wouldn't be where I am or who I am without him, I tell him everything and I know he does with me xx

I think that yes you can love someone without or with intimacy, it is a bond that forms over time and can't be replaced, someone you know inside out...

Hence so many marriages fail imo

And to add to that, they are a soul mate, nothing more and nothing less.

You want them in your life, but can be comfortable and yourself around them, love though is a complex word...and means different things to everyone.

Sometimes it can't be helped and peoples emotions get involved no matter how hard they try to fight it

Yes, you can... I have recently lost my best friend and it has killed me inside ... I am still not sure what to think or how to feel .... As they were only a friend, but I know right now my world is upside down, and I know deep down I loved as I would a brother.... xxx

Yep, would agree with that.

Personally, I think the 'l' word is much misunderstood, along with the 'r' word.

So there's love.....and love.....and love......and then there's also a loving relationship!

.

You can say ' I love you' or ' I'm in love' with you. Two different phrases with two different meanings

Is love?

Declaration of feelings

A reason to fight for a relationship

A reason to end a relationship

A state of mind

Or something else

I have no idea

My first ever fb we started spending alot of time together this is going back 4half years ago and we ended it as I started developing feelings we remained friends and I love him now as a friend last year we played and the sex was fantastic every bit if him knew every bit if me and hey he remembered l the best buttons I still love him as a friend and the dynamics of the friendship have remained unchanged

On the other hand I totally love my other male friend in a way that befits a family member again we started out as fb now however the thought of going there is so unbelievably wrong on every level were so close he feels like a brother
