Why do people have conflicting info in their profile?

I use the filter to ensure I’m not wasting my or someone else’s time. So why do people show they can accommodate then have s big WE CANT ACCOMMODATE at the bottom lol. Also don’t have any age then add only meet 21 to 40. Some people lol. Rant over

I've never seen a profile that took me 10 minutes to read.

And for all the tick boxes and filters the site offers, I'd still read any profile that caught my eye all the way through. There may be something that puts us off even though according to search parameters and filters someone suits a very broad range of potential matches.

Never let the site make decisions for you. Just because someone may tick all the boxes on paper doesn't mean they will at all in reality.

There's no short cut to finding compatible company and any attempt to automate matches is doomed to fail 9 times out of 10.

The options available don't tell all the story so the 'right' answer in your mind might not be in someone else's.

For example, I don't want to meet smokers but I'm happy to meet vapers. I'd imagine many people that vape would classify themselves as a smoker, given there isn't another option, so I say yes to smokers but my profile clarifies only those that vape.

And at risk of opening a can of worms, I consider myself straight but am quite happy to meet a convincing TV/TS. You might consider me bi but I don't as I'm not attracted to fellas and won't be putting anyone's plums in my mouth.

Even accommodating isn't the whole story as I'm happy to arrange a hotel and therefore 'accommodate', but I won't be doing so in my own home. Personally, I tick that I can't accommodate but am not offended by other people in the same situation who tick that they can. As long as that is clear in their profile, that I always read.

The people that annoy me are those that retain the 18 - 99 default setting for age of people they are prepared to meet.

I have messaged people who use that setting only to get a snotty message back saying I am way too old for them. FFS I am only 83 way short of 99.
