As soon as the fecking Arctic conditions hit our fair shores that my boiler has decided to give up the ghost and say 'bollocks to you mate...I aint working in these conditions' now sat shivering under a duvet

I consider myself to be quite handy with most things but in the case of things that have gas running through them or serious electric current. I'll bow to superior knowledge of someone that does it for a living.

Your boiler should be run from it's own circuit breaker in the consumer unit. Check it hasn't tripped and if it has reset it and relight the boiler.

The problem seems more internal that electrical. It's a combi and its not holding its pressure in the loop.

Turn off open inlet valve increase to 1.5 bar

Makes me think of corrie a few weeks ago when tyrone fixed a boiler.it was like a fucking government saftey campaign .oooh ty what have you done don't you know you should call a registered plumber? Nanny state.

Too right. I'd much rather try and troubleshoot a problem and see if I can learn what I need to solve it.

Plus I'm a tight ass and hate spending hard earned pennies
