Does anyone use winks? I use them to break the ice as such, a little token of interest instead of just jumping straight in. Anyone else?

Or does FAB generate them randomly to keep things interesting?!

Thoughts….ta

I prefer winks, shows interest on both sides. I wish fab would introduce a system where you both have to wink at each other before the message filter opens. This would stop a lot of time wasting, dented egos and overwhelmed inboxes.

If someone is outside or your set filters (too old/young etc) they can wink you but unless you wink them back they cannot message you.

I understand the principle of the wink can be a non intrusive way of showing interest but feel most people just ignore them

I don’t understand winks.

I responded to a wink with a wink yesterday. They just winked back.

Another time I responded to a wink with a wink and they responded with a “Thanks for your wink”. No more.

we use inks to show interest or to ink back if something perks our curiosity.

They are showing interest in your profile so send a message(basedon target profile) and a face pic and they will work from there, still the same premise as the message but they liked your profile

"We don't respond to winks"

That’s fair, I just see it as a way of if you get a wink back then it shows interest. Instead of another message in the inbox

I’ve been using winks as a show of initial interest, hoping for something back. However, this approach seems to have little effect, so thinking of sending an initial message instead.

Used to message back to winks and they either didn't respond or sent total crap in their replies lol.

Shows a lot more effort in a message

I think winks are useful. They are a way to show interest - if someone winks back then it is worth a message.

Never use them but I do respond. I got a wink the other day and sent a thanks and asked how their week was going and what I was about Reply was 'I am fine'. Left it at that!

Why do people with zero pics not even a profile and a three word bio 200 miles away send them.

Genuinely interested to know.

Love this idea, helps avoid a lot of time wasting from both parties

We will send a wink to people that catch our eye. Good things can happen from a simple wink.
