I'm not sure there is a set rule .

Depends on the person, circumstances, logistics etc.

Can it ever be too long if you like someone?

Obviously if it’s just the horn talking then more than a week is pushing it!

if someone wants to meet they will want to get on and arrange it.

once the conversation has been going nicely ask about meeting. if the message is read and not replied too, move on.

youve done all you can. delete the conversation forget and move on.

If nothing ever comes of it, anytime is too long. If it is envitable, just a case of when not if, then I'm happy to wait for the right people.

.

There's not a set amount of time. I've been speaking to someone for four years. We've not met yet, we will one day. In the mean time I'm enjoying our varied conversations, the truths and care we have for each other albeit virtually.

I'm meeting someone later this week who I've been speaking to for just under two weeks. Admittedly a lot faster than I normally would but there's been a flurry of messages and phonecalls.

You do what's right for you and what makes you happy. Length be damned.

I don't think there's a set time, if it's someone I speak with a lot then I'd rather meet quicker, if it's someone I chat with once every couple of weeks then whenever.

Sometimes day to day chat can get a little tedious and the excitement goes without meeting, for me anyways.
