I’d buy a small company that values and looks after its workforce rather than a massive numbers driven company.

This has made me sad that Borders is no more. Music, books, stationery and a café - all my favourite things together in harmonious loveliness. I loved that shop.

But if you owned it, you could turn a "massive numbers driven" company into one that looks after its workforce.

I was going to say an airline so I could get free flights but if I could afford one I probably don't need free flights.

I'll stick with Amazon!

Which in turn would make it no longer the juggernaught of an enterprise thst it is. Modern day, it is impossible to have both.

Another company will always be willing to cut the corners and exploit employees and customers as much as they can for an increase in the profits. The larger the company the less overall say you would have in it too even with the majority of stakes or not the board of investors are the true power. You will bow down to their needs and their income (as a collective).
