I can understand shyness or needing to be private etc, but it seems a bit pointless, although I guess people receive messages still…..x

When I receive a message from a women whose profile is devoid of any photos, I afford her the courtesy of a reply. However, I instinctively tread with caution.

I pay little attention to them otherwise.

As in ...none at all ? Or just no profile pic and friends only ?..or just friends only pics ? ..or absolutely none at all ?

Tbh if a person doesn't have any at all l just take it that they don't want any up at all , if they reply or send a message they will of Course be replied to but if meeting isn't mentioned after a week of chatting then l politely show myself to the door as l just feel a week is enough to get that far and to me it's not gonna happen simply because of no interest in doing so but to answer the question asked a profile with no pictures would not put me off but what happens afterwards does .

Frustrating! I like to see whom I'm talking to! Makes things so much easier! Have blank profiles message saying we spoke a while ago and expect me to remember! Which I find bizarre! X

I think they are just too lazy to be bothered putting pics up. The whole excuse they need to be discreet is just that,an excuse.A lot of people on here don't want to be recognised but still manage to put pics up. I don't interact with them anymore and if they cheat through my filters I just delete their messages now.

Some are hidden as people do not want to be recognised, they may work in education, have a public profile as in politics or known in the community. So if you’re chatting to someone and ask for pics, and they still don’t show anything then it can be suspicious. However you should not pre-judge someone. But if you decide you don’t like those sort of profiles then simply move on, they are not harming you.

But with all profiles tread gently, be careful and stay safe.

It's not just pics either.

If a woman or couple feel they will attract the type of profiles they are seeking but have put no effort into their pics or bio, good luck to them but I won't be chatting.

Some just use the site to keep track of club events, some set all their pictures to private once they find a playmate and others when they are taking a break from playing but still want to interact on the forums or with old friends.

Personally we don't chat privately with profiles with no images but happy to interact with them on the forums.

Most (mine included) are just of a body part, which being Frank could be taken off the internet and not actually be from the person using it - mine is mine, but you'll have to take my word for it.

Face pics are a different matter, these have to be genuine if the person ever wants to meet.

So, again, is the profile pic really that important?

Genuine answer. Yes, for me it's really important. It doesn't have to be a face pic, I very much understand people's need for discretion. Men on here, if I could give you just one hint...

Smart shirt, sleeves rolled up slightly, sit forward resting your forearms. Crop your head off. It's flattering and forearms are sexy. Use the timer on your phone if you don't have anyone to take it for you.

We don't reply to blank profiles, and are unlikely to reply to a load of graphic close ups. We might be missing out but I can live with that.

No pics generally means no interest.

The privacy/discretion argument is bollocks given you could post anything bar a face pic and maintain anonymity.

It just comes across as lazy, the same as 'will fill in later' or 'if you want to know anything just ask' in profile text.

With so many well constructed profiles with good photos and detailed text why would you put yourself at an obvious disadvantage by having a bland, pictureless and wordless profile?

If you're not looking to meet then fine, it matters not. But if you are then odds are you'll be passed over when people are browsing in favour of a profile with visuals.

R here , I’m a bit cagey, I will chat but I do ask if they have some after a few messages , and not had one yet that’s carried on chatting and actually sent any .

Conversation seems to end when I ask about pics.

Which really sucks sometimes because they seem really lovely till then.
