I’ve done a few bus tours of different parts of the States. Loved it. The tour guides were locals and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

West Park possibly. It's a lovely park with the added bonus/downside of being next to the brewery, so sometimes you can smell them brewing

Sad as it is, the Northampton museum, largely as it has a lot of info about the history of shoe making in the town, and that’s about all it’s famous for

We've just moved to a new area. Maybe we'd show them the old mining areas, although they're pretty ubiquitous in this part of the world. There's a groovy old Hall up the road but it's a private house so you can't go inside. Some interesting literary history there though.

we got feed lots, where cattle are fed to fatten up, my step dad use to say it's the smell of money

Coal mining. It was the main industry across this part of NW England for much of the 19th and 20th centuries.

And the hall was once the home of a writer, yes.

Based on your earlier description, I don't need to guess where you are (massive BH fan here!)

Tams noodle bar, then a walk to the park to play crazy golf before going out past Gilhams deli shop for a beef salad baguette

Then a quick tour of Molly's Sweetshop then a drive through the scenic route to feed the ducks and get ice-cream from the Outback Shack

we used to have a minuture golf here, probably still do,we do have a water park
