Yep, first time, these things happen. Second time I'd start to think they were a time waster unless they had a very good reason.

Two strikes and they're out.

I think this one is messing you about.

If they really wanted to meet with you, they'd make the time.

I would give another chance.

he has given you reasons, why not believe him.

As long as you are not putting off someone else to go meet him then there is no harm giving another chance.

Not everyone is a timewaster, and we all have lives outside the site.

"what would you do if you had been let down twice by same person for social meet ? call it a day ?"

Once is understandable - things happen outside of our control.

Too much of a coincidence for it to happen twice. Say goodbye and block.

"Three strikes and they're outta there!"

I don't think that's what the update means.

"Three strikes and they're outta there!

I wasn't referring to the update. Third time can be the lucky one and it might prove worthwhile. their reasons may have been genuine. So three strikes and that's fair. Opinion.

That's the point, I think (though I can't be sure) that the update means he turned up the third attempt. Maybe the OP can clarify with some punctuation or something.

Not read all the replies, but I would let him down twice and if he's willing to meet you still, then finally get together lol

"what would you do if you had been let down twice by same person for social meet ? call it a day ?"

My partner and I suffered this scenario. First time we got to the pub and got a text saying he could not make it. Could we rearrange for the same time next week. So we did.

Following week we got to the pub. Bang on the arranged meet time we got a text calling us, and I quote, "gullable bastards" followed by a string of further abusive texts. He blocked us before we got home so we could not report him.

Some proper knobheads on here for sure. We'll never give second chances again. Simply learn and move on.....

Great idea lol

We had to let someone down over the xmas period at a very late time and we were very genuine, we had met once for social and really wanted to meet with thrm a 2nd time. If I were in their place I wouldnt give another chance as would think they had just backed out and gave an excuse. I havnt contacted them again and they havnt contacted us

You can report someone who has blocked you. Either use a message they sent or manually type in their username.

Brighton - even Hove!

"what would you do if you had been let down twice by same person for social meet ? call it a day ?"

I always go by the same philosophy as Auric Goldfinger, once is coincidence, twice is happenstance, three times is enemy action. So I never get as far as 3.
