Why do other people feel it necessary to go hack other peoples posts?

These things happen OP. I hope you find your solace in a quiescent thread, where quietude and solitude are combined like Castor and Pollux.

It's just a bit of fun.

If you post things like before maybe use the other places?

The lounge is a strange place... the mood in here varies all the time. It has been quite playful recently.

.

If you are referring to your other recent post, it was very brief and I wasn't even sure it was serious. Maybe a little more explanation in your original post might have been helpful?

No idea, but disappointment is inevitable for thread starters.

Some people post to start a fun conversation, some people actually have something to say and say might want to explore real things.

It’s not aimed at anyone person

Depends how you mean.

Threads take on a life of their own, they need to be herded and wrangled to keep them as close to the original path as much as possible. You can't just let them wander off.

Some people take over with endless flirting or smoke blowing up each other that longer had anything to do with the OP, the post then just fills up with the back and forth, with any serious reply lost between them.
