Green flags on a profile

Hi all, first time poster long time ghoster to the forums.

I’m asking this with a heavy sense of self-interest as I seem to be hitting a bit of a stumbling block. I’m (amazingly) able to get replies when I message other users at a pretty decent rate HOWEVER it seems a lot of conversations run dry as soon as they read my profile (I’ve got a supporter account so I can verify this is indeed happening). In my humble opinion all is well on said profile, but perhaps my bias is showing.

So on to the point, what do users see as green flags for profiles when connecting with someone new?

Naturally verifications are a big green flag (I had many in the past but in foolish haste deleted my account), as are recent pictures, the green tick etc. but is there anything more nuanced I might be missing?

I know some green flags will no doubt be subjective but I’m confident there’s a golden thread that runs across profiles (in particular men’s profiles) that elicit positive responses on here.

P.s. I’m hesitant to post this because I may well be inviting unjustified/mean (and perhaps justified) criticism of my own profile here so I do kindly request any comments to be thoughtful and constructive (basically be gentle with me). In any case I’m far more interested in general things that reach beyond my specific profile (and might benefit slightly clueless, if well intentioned users of all stripes).

Thanks in advance!

Someone who doesn't bow down to Sydney University.. I like those rebels.

It’s not a bad profile tbh. If I had to pick nits I’d say your pics are a bit samey and your write up comes across a tad strong. But honestly I’ve seen a lot worse

Your bio wouldn't work for me.

Especially the bit about not being into endless conversations, I like to talk.

Yeah I was going to go with your pics look the same, just from different angles..looks unimaginative..

Bit hypocritical of me seeing as I only have one photo, but you did ask

The pen pals comment on your profile would probably land you on my block list.

Yes I'm harsh.

If you can't have a have conversation in a normal setting how the hell do you have one about sex and what each other likes at the absolute minimum.

Harsh, but given Pw's mood today you're lucky not to get tazered in the testicles

Maybe the converts runs dry because you say you're not in to endless conversation.

I see no red flags on your profile

When I open up someone’s public pics and the first few (or worse, all) are dick pics, it makes me think ‘oh he’s a dick then’. Maybe try moving them down the page or put them in your friends only?

Also your bio is confusing, you will do NSA but not your preference, prefer a social but will just jump straight to it, then you say you don’t want endless chat - sounds like you’d be happy to fuck an empty vessel. Obviously that’s just my interpretation!

For me it’s important to get to know someone before I even contemplate meeting them, mainly due to my lack of free time but it also helps filter out those that I wouldn’t be compatible with (and that works both ways)

Your profile looks fine to me, as others have said though the pen pal and endless conversation comments would put me off personally, I like to chat before I'll even consider meeting.

Profile is conflicting, you say this then totally counter act with the opposite. So if your Confused about what your after then the rest will be also, as that comes across in your profile bio.

Dick pics a plenty....not needed in public pics....

How do you feel about the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre?

I agree with what others have said on here. Reading that someone has every intention of meeting and fucking if they send 1 message, and that I should have the same attitude is a massive red flag to me.

There will be a few people here who are into that kind of thing and just want a breathing dildo, but most women will want a conversation.

It is also a safety thing for solo women, the amount of men I am greatful I have NOT met thanks to seeing how fucking pscho they were after a conversation with them.

You'll do for me. I can talk for England and love listening to a good talker too. That's probably why I don't get many fucks, too busy talking and listening

We love the social side of this and long conversations work for us! So probably wouldn’t match up to us but certainly will for some

Thanks for all the responses - much appreciated and it is genuinely useful to understand how one is viewed through another lens. There’s at least a few points I’ve picked up on and I can see I didn’t quite get across what I intended!

Hmmm, that's exactly the type of double bluff someone working undercover for Sydney University would say.

Im onto you, Sheila/Bruce.

I can't see OP's profile because I've already blocked it. Now I don't think we've spoken so there probably are off putting *to me* things.

Probably

* dick/sex pics

* bald (just not into not into shaved heads)

* comes across as transactional/mysogonistic/recently seperated/cheating or

* he posted enthusiastically on a bareback forum thread.

Green flags are harder because you want to be real and not formulaic. One of the better ones I describe as "all chilled and inviting". But if you're not then your profile shouldn't be either.

7 weeks late but OPs profile is a bit overly verbose. You come across as intelligent but you also come across like you're trying too hard to sound smart. Also no public pictures is the only block filter I have on my messages.

As for green flags, I dunno I try to keep them off my profile. I'm looking for people who think it's cute to hold a blue ringed octopus.
