I know you ladies sometimes get hundreds of messages a day.

When you see a yellow box, what makes you open it, what makes you reply... and what makes you delete?!

To be honest I only tend to reply to existing friends or sometimes forum things .

It's rare anything else gets read.

I'll usually click on their profile first and if it's no pics or info I'll often just delete the message.

If it's come from a reply from a forum thread I'm more likely to reply early

I surely don't get hundreds a week much less a day.

I reply to men I think I might want to meet - they've sent a decent, personal message and their profile fits what I'm looking for.

I will delete the "nice ass" and "how's you" messages. And usually block anyone sending dick pics.

Sometimes I’m overwhelmed by messages. If I get 2-3 in a day it requires careful time management.

First I delete the minge montages.

Then anyone who tells me they want to ruin me.

Anyone left has got to work damn hard for my attention.

The profile gets viewed before going anywhere near the message.

No interest in that and it could be the most eloquent, interesting and witty message since messages were invented and its unlikely to ever get read.

If people worried as much about their profiles as they did about crafting an opening message there'd be a lot of happier people on Fab and less moaning about people not replying to or opening messages.

I look at the profile.

The amount of reasons why I'd then delete the message due to the profile is a very long list. Things that aren't included in the profile is usually the reason. Like bio word count being minimal. Lack of photos. Most die an instant death on that alone.

If I do open the message it's usually when there's an attachment. I'll then delete because of another list. Normally lacks so many things.

Messaging back.. I'll reply to forum users. Others it's bloody rare.

Fair question.

First I check the profile of the person who sent the message by opening it in another window on the computer

Then I consider if the message might be worth reading

If I like what I read and what I see I will try to reply out of good manners, I thank people who take the time to contact me if it's nice.

If it's not nice, I will block and delete.

The things I consider nice are appealing photos, a write up which shows the persons personality, if their message contains politeness, pays compliments, includes honesty, somebody who has thought about what WE want not just what THET want and so on...

The things I consider not nice, blank pic or awful pics, rudeness, looking for what THEY want not what WE want and so on...

Just a bit old school for us I suppose but if it's what works...

I check the profile then open the message (not always in that order), if it’s a well constructed message I usually reply even if it’s a polite no thanks. Dick pics, action shots and limited word messages just get an instant delete.

Ah you become immune to the chancers. All the women who just say “how’s you?” or “FAF?”

Then it’s identifying the players who are passing through my town.

Sometimes I get messages from truly lovely people and they get all my attention.
