There have been lots of memorable forum characters over my many years here. I still chuckle over one or two very memorable threads but sadly can't remember what they were called. (Annie someone and all her 'fanny prep' a few years back was legendary)

There are ots of lovely people on here who often say things that resonate with me or make me smile with their kindness or just the way they write.

Some also really make me laugh .

There is a place for everyone here

Everyone brings something unique to the forums. So many different personalities that make it great! It would be too hard to name them all. There’s a few people who I always stop scrolling to read what they have said, usually the ones that always write something funny or thoughtful

Ach; I waffle and am far too easily read in terms of emotional frame of mind. I don't think I'm a particularly great writer or poster, I just type what I like. How I feel. Too often at times.

This is going to sound really clichéd, I'm caveating what follows so people are prepared.

I don't think there's a particular poster who stands out for me. Don't get me wrong, there are some posters who I adore because they have this natural kindness. Or the ones who can post the perfect quip that has me laughing with glee. The posters who lean into their sexuality and I know exactly how they feel in *that* moment. The ones who unashamedly post, authentically and with the sort of openness I so admire in others.

What I really think is that the fora wouldn't be a place I return to without all of those contributors. I love getting to know someone's voice, seeing the familiarity between posters, the gentle flirting. The silliness.

It all builds up to a bigger picture and for me, that's more important than the individual brushstrokes.

"Who are the forum users whose posts you always especially enjoy reading?

For me, Meli, MistyPeaks and NotSoPosh are always a delight.

Too many to recount, I just enjoy the variety of contributions. Humorous posts appeal the most.

What I notice more is the occasional morons. Thankfully they seem to have crawled back under their bridges of late.

And just as I type this something hideous crawls out from its pit of misery to whinge about how unfair life is.

(No one on this thread)

Generally those I get on with away from the forum, I don't put anyone on a pedestal though. None of us are that fucking special. I may have phases of liking somebody for a while, to then roll my eyes at their next thread or post. I'd hope I fit that same cycle for others too.

Even those I dislike/avoid, bring something that is likely a delight to others. They bring a needed conflict and balance to all the arse kissing, arse smoke blowing, lamp post pissing. I'd don't have to like them for them to bring value to the place with their contribution.

I’m not going to coyly pretend to be embarrassed. I’m very flattered. I’m glad my posts are well received by at least one person.

I agree that every single user makes up the forum experience. But equally I have my favourites. To say otherwise would be a lie.

I’ll only mention a few who are on here.

Felix, gr8str8, and coyote make me laugh a lot and have been known to be sensible & thoughtful on occasion too

Meh, it takes a lot of personalities to make up the forums, some that I think I'd get on and others I'd rather see less of and I'm sure others might feel the same about me.

There are some that stand out for being really insightful and make using the words looks easy and others that are quick witted make me think "bastard! Why didn't I think of that"
