there are so many girls here that seem to want gym fit men. or complain when men don't turn up or message then block them. am I wrong in thinking maybe give the guys with dad bods or that are working on themselves to get more into shape a chance as it them that get messed over. and it's always the same. gym fit, huge arms, tight abs. always underlook the average guy

I met a woman from fab who insisted on this, wouldn't meet with anyone who didn't fit that physique. That being said she did meet me, I'm no prize myself as I'm slender despite my muscle tone, I'm slimmer than even the "average" guy

The reason for this is these women often are only attracted to those types of men, they struggle to get turned on with most other guys unless there's something pretty special about them that makes chemistry override their physical appearance, but that is rare for them to find... At least this is what I was told as she had those preferences

She did go on to make a point that if men who weren't gym fit are complaining about women having this criteria, and find it hard to meet women they're interested in, it's up to them to actually make an effort to go to the gym and change that

I mean I do agree with her a little, but I do still feel it's pretty harsh, everyone is at some place in their lives, some guys have some valid reasons like health conditions, and even I know how it feels to be excluded

I myself have an eating disorder which is the reason I have such a slender frame, despite working out and staying in shape, I really struggle to put on mass, so I accept that it's down to me and only me to change that. If a woman decides to say no to me, I just have to accept that. But at the end of the day that's just the nature of this sort of place

Good angles and lighting my friend... Lately I've really been forcing food into me and changing my workouts a little to gain more mass. But it's extremely difficult with an eating disorder, the most I've ever weighed was just under 9 stone at 6ft. I have tone, but not the mass

I think it's generally difficult for men to get a message read or even a reply on here.

Just as some like tall men, or some men like blondes, or prefer bigger boobs.

Also depends on there other preferences, some need exact physical requirements, to allow for lack of chemistry or if someone's a massive dick and they're just after a fuck.

I'm more concerned now with the fitness levels of the man, as my body is deteriorating, so he has to be pretty fit to get me moving.

I'm not lazy, it's my body falling apart.

Gym fit might mean they need to be strong with stamina; which a dad body could be.

This is an interesting thread.

I am working with a personal trainer and put some naked public photos up for the first time yesterday.

Would be great to hear peoples honest opinions?

If Fabs has shown me anything it's the type of women I am attracted to...when I look.throught there verificarions they also like gym fit so I was working towards that for health.

Now I have a different reason to keep going...

Actually that's not how I read OP's post at all. He said how about giving the other guys that don't fit the criteria a chance. Didn't seem to worded at all like it was about double standards.

I have it stated in my profile that ideally I'm looking for women with gym-fit/slender bodies. Of course I am open to meeting curvier women, depends if I find them attractive. Despite this, I've not had any trouble getting responses, and not in a rush to get a shag.

Sure there is the fact that a man can't openly call a woman fat without getting crucified, but if you noticed that the vast majority of women who aren't simple nasty people, don't go saying they don't want fat guys, they express their preference by saying what they want. See the difference in that they're not making it about you, they're making it about them and what they want. It's down to the other person if they want to be offended

I love woman all shapes and sizes and I’m going to be totally honest here and say I find attraction to something in everyone as long as there’s a connection personality and humour wise.

I’m a bear of a man at 6’3” and large build and used to be very muscular with minimal fat percentage, but after years of different meds and health problems including testosterone trouble. I’m a big curvy guy now.

Things are changing as I’m all sorted fitness wise but I’m in no rush to push myself back to where I was, life’s not all about the gym for me.

I think from a guys perspective, gym-fit refers to the body, if you go to the gym but don't have those attributes then you're physically fit and healthy. It’s just a preference. Maybe don’t approach people that specify they prefer gym fit guys (like us) and you’ll likely do better on here.

Also notice there’s an abundance of guys who put their body type as athletic when they’re clearly not. Be comfortable in your skin, it’s way more of a turn on than being a catfish.

Totally agree with this! For me, it’s such a turn off knowing someone would sleep with anyone and everyone. Having standards and preferences is attractive.

It’s also so unattractive when people have a ‘poor me’ mentality of why they aren’t getting the attention they crave. Be proud of what you being to the table and it will shine through.

so if I was to say from the pictures i have up what are people thoughts as yes I am a dad of two trying to figure out myself after separating and my whole life crashing down. trying to find purpose and point and everything. What you’re doing wrong to my mind? You’re coming across as a whiney “feel sorry for me” sort of guy. It’s not appealing.

First, about what women have said in their profiles. I think you need to let it go. If two women contacted you and wanted a meet on the same day, would you pick the one you thought was more attractive or the one you thought was less attractive? That’s all the women are trying to do. They get a lot of offers so they pick what they like best. It’s good that they let certain people know they won’t even make the short list.

Secondly, if you’re not happy with how you look, do something about it. If you are happy with how you look, great! Market yourself and you’ll find someone. Maybe not on Fab though.

But if I’m honest, the post comes across all a bit “incel.” That’s not good.

To be blunt… you look and sound miserable.

Look at other male profiles for pic ideas (there’s plenty of guys on here who don’t have ‘gym fit’ bodies, but who still have great attractive pics and profiles). There’s also loads of other threads for pic & profile advice.
