The gravelly bit next to the shed

When you are in that good Friday nether zone, not sure what to eat so you buy a ready meal.

Thought the BBQ spare rib thing sounded nice but was utter bobbins.

Have you ever been in that situation, what was the worst ready meal you regret buying?

East London

I'm going to confess to eating Co-op shepherd's pie quite often, and the occasional carbonara, as it doesn't have dairy in.

Oh and I've eaten a few frozen pie mash and liquor in the past couple of years.

No ready meals are nice. That’s not why you buy them.

I am a sad single unemployed wanker.

So I live off Icelands £1 meals.

They are eatable and non offensive.

But fuck, what I would do to eat the real deal sweet n sour chicken from the local Chinese take away

Worst ready meal I've had was a Mac and Cheese from Co-Op.

Overly gloopy, and horrifically underseasoned. I don't know how they can load so much cheese into the macaroni, and yet it's still lacking in salt.

Having said so, I swear by Cook Food nowadays for ready meals. They taste better than some takeaways and dine-in places outside!

Have you considered costing out buying cheap ingredients for a big batch cook and then portioning it up for freezer.

They are your own instant ready meals but without all the sugar n shit that make them so unhealthy.

I know you have to find the budget in one go but it may not work out too bad on price.

Those ready meals are £1 a meal for a reason.

Leeds

We bought some BBQ chicken and ribs the other day, opened the packet to cook and it came out in a large brown pile that resembled cow shit!

It didn't even make the oven.

Jamie Oliver £1 wonders, some lovely recipes

People are lazy and can’t be bothered to cook
