How do you like your hot cross buns

Jump to newest

I like mine in the microwave then smothered in butter. Husband likes his in the toaster then smothered in butter.

I don't think hot cross buns should be crunchy.

Thoughts?

Slice them in half and pop them in the toaster. I like them browned, but not quite burnt.

Let them cool for a minute or two then smother them with butter

Fresh: cut in half, toasted, buttered and spread with ginger marmalade.

Stale: used as a base for bread and butter pudding... trust me!

Toasted under a grill until soft. Do not burn them.

And then buttered.

And then I eat all 4 of them.

Toasted (probably to a burnt state to many) and then slathered with as much real butter as they can take
