If I Fab a picture it’s because I like their picture. It may not be the person within the picture I am fabbing, could be because I like what they’re wearing or the act they’re indulging in for example.

So I wouldn’t expect them to thank me for the fab at all.

I usually do send a wee message of gratitude for a fab. It doesn't happen too often. I'm always concerned a message may not be wanted but a simple thankyou shouldn't ne viewed as anything other than that.

Nothing to do with age, some women will get hundreds of fabs on a new picture posted. If she sent a thanks message to everyone it would take quite some time and could create mix messaging, those guys thinking she’s interested in them.

I don't think it works in quite the same way on social media. You haven't replied to everyone who's responded to your post for instance and nobody would expect you to, it would be far too time consuming.

Do you really mean "good manners" or an opportunity to create conversation?

My thinking is, they may appreciate a picture, though if they wanted contact, they'd message or at least wink.

Fabbing a picture, to me is simply expressing it's appreciated.

On one video we have over 300 fabs, that would be a few hours sending messages if we don't have an interest in the particular person especially if there outside age range/distance etc

I've often said on the fora that I never send the first message, other than piecemeal interactions with forumites. That mantra still stands.

However, I'm going to go against the grain on some of the responses here: YES, I have on a •few occasions• sent a thank you message. And EVERY message was favourably received AND graciously responded to. The impetus wasn't so that I could get into their knickers, but I was somewhat cognisant that I was, humbly, on their hotlist and I wanted extend my thanks.

We don't send thank you messages to people fabbing our pics, no. We do check out the profiles of people who have fabbed our pics and if there's anyone who takes our fancy then we will wink, message and take it from there

I have received a couple of messages of thanks in the past which I have replied to and compliment them further.

I've also had the opposite and quite a rude message saying they would not be interested. A fab is an appreciation of the photo, I'd not looked at the profile and no intention of anything more than appreciating the pic.

I sometimes go through the latest pics and fab the ones I think look great - no intention of striking up a conversation or seeing if they want to meet, most of the time I don't look at the profile - its as simple as I like the photo.

A message either way is unnecessary unless you want to chat/meet.

If I receive a fan I'll thank if fan a profile pic or two or if I like profile text I'll compliment the owner and always happy to chat no matter where they might be in the country or without a thought of meeting .I only meet people I've chatted to for sometime or unless Im meeting them at a social .
