i may just be very lucky but i was stood up for the first time today....which i have to admit came as a bit of a shock.

now i've had a grovelling message apologising..asking to be forgiven..and to make it up to me....so the question is.......

do i set myself up again...ps he looks gorgeous!!

If the reason for standing you up is genuine, and the apology sincere, then I would be inclined to give him one more chance

Once could be for a genuine reason, twice and I'm afraid he's wasting your time. He must have known he couldn't make the meet quite some time before the appointed hour, so why let you go to it knowing he wasn't going to be there when he could have called you before you set out.

If it was me, I'd tell him/her to sling it.

one chance then block, it isn't asking much for someone to let you know they can't make it in reasonable time, we get lots of people who have to cancel but providing they give us reasonable notice we don't mind.

Let us know after the event and they never get a second chance we don't care how gorgeous they are.

i neglected to mention...i wont give anyone my number so he couldnt phone but was online up till 1/2 hour before i was due to meet.......

the apology seems sincere but who knows...i hear so much on here about time wasters...

as for the pic being genuine...who knows till i see him in the flesh..if its not...i want my money back!! lol

Get an old mobile you have knocking around and put a PAYG sim in it and use it only for swinging. That's what most of us do.

Very sound advice for all single ladies or those who meet on thier own and if you are meeting alone tell a friend even if it is just another single female on this site and meet in a public place

i oredered a 3 one for me sister - and got 2, for 50p lol

also got an ornage one.

Couldnt tell you where they all are tho - in baskets in the attick probably, lol

Should start a new business on ebay - sims for swingers.

As hard as this sounds, we only give a person 1 chance, if the said person don't turn up and we don't txt or phone at least a couple of hours before then thats it, no second chance period.

No excuse at all for just leaving someone stood there and not letting them know.

If I get what I think is a reasonable or believable excuse then I have been known to give 3 chances.

If I get no excuse then block delete and forget no matter how much I wanted to meet them.

Ive had guys let me down before and ive decided to meet them again and they have tured up but ive also had guys not show and ive decided to re arrange the meet and they've not turned up again

you just have to go with how you feel about it

P.S being gorgerous dont rule him out as a time waster lmao

i kinda feel like that in a way, i cant imagine anyones reason being that bad that they didnt know in enough time to just sent you a text and say sorry cant make it, we all have private lifes and understand with kids etc sometimes things do happen which means you cant always make it last min but...cummon how much is a text massage just to let the other person know?

We had a meet planned and had to cancel an hour before. The man was already at the meeting place so we went to see him and arranged another meet for the week after. He had to cancel that one a couple of hours before.

We then went for third time lucky, and had a great meet with a good few more after it, so all wasn't lost.

As everyone might have to cancel at some point for lots of reasons, then we think a second chance isn't a bad thing to do....it worked for us

I would say though, if we were to rely on just E-mails alone for communication then the poor man wouldn't have got ours as he had already left his house.

We use a seperate phone for playing and only switch it on when meets are arranged, maybe that would be a good idea for you.

If it was a couple we already knew, then we would give them a second chance

However, i am willing to admit that if it was a first meet we would not bother. They MAY be genuine, but this is a hobby full of time wasters and so if trying to eliminate them means you miss out on a few genuine people, it is a hazard of the game.

i was stood up by a lady, who apologised a couple of days later, was very contrite about it. asked if we could meet again, sounded most sincere. i decided that maybe i was a second chance was in order, so agreed to another meet.

i was at at arranged spot at arranged time, another no show and nothing from her for two days, even after i had text and pm her asking what had gone wrong.

this person is total waste of time, loves messing people about i think.

for me, that is enough

One couple, (no names, no pack drill, but it wasnt us!!) got let down 7 (yes, seven!) times. Then had the stupidity to ..

1. Own up to it on a chatroom

2. Ask if they should give him another chance!

Suffice to say there wasnt one single vote for giving him another chance...., but a lot of piss-taking for being dumber than rocks lol!!!
