Why do people not put a little info about themselves on their profileS instead of just writing "I will fill this in later". If they have time to write that surely they have time to say something about themselves.

Or perhaps as a starting point maybe they want to see if the website is for them? I think if they've been members for a month and it still says that then I'm going with, they're here to watch not do.

Well when its on ladies profiles, I often have the desire to drop them a message and ask exactly what it is they want 'filling in' and when exactly is 'later'!

Oh I really shouldn't have watched all those Carry On films over Christmas....!

I just feel let down when read through profile and get to the bottom and then nothing.

Just a personal gripe I suppose.

Many people find it really hard to 'sell' themselves. They think it seems arrogant or big-headed, or they just may not think they are all that special. How hard to people find it to write a good letter or application or a good cv?

I always check last log in for those profiles. if they haven't logged in for months then they've gone. If they've logged in recently then they are probably only here to perve pics. Either way, not for me.

Now if one posts on here asking why they can't get any meets we can let them know.

some are very short '' looking to make my dreams a reality'' this from a winked at us profile this morning - not sure though if i want to ask them or wait for them to tell

If its a new member then they had to write something to get past the application form. So I would forgive the nonsense profile for a week or so. Any more than a week and they are probably fakes or they are to us, so would go onto the block list if they made any attempt at contact.

fems: by the point they have got to the profile to complete, they have 175 messages saying I love your profile that you still have to compose, the pics that you haven't loaded yet, you are hot, fancy a fuck... and her head may have been turned by the attention

really at any point, it is their profile, their choice and they will get from the effort they have made the reward they deserve, or not

I believe in natural selection.

One's profile is the way one sells oneself.

If a profile does not tickle my fancy for whatever reason(s), I would not consider meeting the person, full stop.

I prefer originality in a profile, and peeps have originalities tend to be self-starters who do not need help to write their profiles.

Hence I no longer participate in profile feedback threads. However, they serve a purpose for me, no prize in guessing what that may be!

Totally agree the profile and name is probably why most blokes complain that they never get a chance!

I took a little time to put mine together and hay presto!

I been on here 3 wks had 3 good meets and staying friends with all! Think the site and most people are fantastic!

Because it's clearly not that important to them. So I'd take it as an indication of how important a meet with you would be to them, too.

May be they do it to save you time.... after all if they posted a massive profile and you got to the end, they would still be the same person.

However, I think the answer is more likely to be 'their choice'.

I really don't get all the assumptions that a scant profile will make a poor meet. Some people prefer to pass on information by personal message and don't feel the need to fill in a profile. After all so many who do fill them in are unoriginal and have basically plagiarized someone elses profile and put it on theirs.

The best option if you want to know why someones profile is the way it is is to ask them.

i get that having to ask - just figured the point of a profile was to at least give a hint of the person
