I have already suggested to Diamondsmiles to have a party at hers, so that I can make my favourite desserts for everyone: Tiramisu, chocolate mousse and cheesecakes.

My piece de resistance is BBQ, and I like to do the cooking/flipping myself, to prevent my food from being charcoaled.

I make all the marinade myself, except for one (Patak curry paste is a god-sent), and like to make all the side dishes from scratch myself too.

I once made 85 burgers for a party of 50+ people, plus all the side dishes and desserts. Happy days!

Karen, the BBQ won't be "Chinese", just a mixture of yummy food!

On the grill:

Lamb ribs with a Moroccan inspired spiced rub

BBQ pork slices

Curried chicken thighs and drumsticks

Homemade burgers

Jumbo Frankfurters in BBQ sauce

Grilled vegetables

Side dishes (all homemade, all suitable for veggie):

Coleslaw

Potato salad

Pasta salad

Cous cous

Noodle salad

Plus green salad, tomatoes and cucumbers etc...

Desserts:

Tiramisu

Chocolate mousse

Cheesecake

Bring it on!

I do a damned fine line in different curries, all proper ingredients and not from a jar. Even mix my own spices from whole, roasting and grinding them up. Failing that my pancakes are heart stoppingly good!

You have to come up here for the seafood, to a little crab shack where you eat sitting at the harbourside, fresh crab or lobster straight from the sea cooked to order.

Sounds absolutely divine, whenever I've been to the Caribbean that tends to be one of the many joys - sat by the sea eating the freshest fish - simple pleasures .
