I have three cats there is no 2 second rule. If its dropped they will be on it. Not much they don't like. In fact I can't think of anything. They love their food

It's 10 seconds in our house, and yes we are all very healthy. The body needs a bit of bad bacteria to keep up a good immune system

It's 5 seconds in our house but only if I yell " leave it" and the dogs actually listen

I do have another rule specifically for the labradors though- licking it doesn't make it yours!

If it can pick up bits of dust or fluff and hair, leave it, like an oven chip covered in vinegar

If you can pick it up and nothing attached to it, it's fine, like a skittle
