Best to look round loch Lomond during the day and have a good night out in Glasgow in the evening. Its not far. There used to be a train service from Balloch to Queen St station in Glasgow

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

There's a lovely b n b I stayed in in Callender some years ago. Wish I could remember what it was called. It was like a 4 star hotel.

We did the mini-cruise out of the Loch about 18 months ago. Weather was perfect and it was 3 hours of sheer bliss...

My bro lives in Helensburgh as a few family members are and were based at Faslane which is close to Loch Lomond. A truly beautiful part of the country. We plan on hving a few days driving around Scotland around Easter time and Loch Lomond is the first overnight stop. hope to to it in a classic car all being well

Apart from the scenery and a few hills you can walk up 'while the rain is runnin' doon', the best things are food and drink.

The Drover's Inn at Inverarnan is worth checking out.

Is the Drovers the one with washing strung across the range and oddities all over it?
