Owned a passage with a Golf GTI engine in it.

Yes it was quick, but the interiors are just soooo boring.

Never in the 42 years of driving have I ever owned a VW of any model, though one job I had a few years ago came with a VW Caddy van.

Nope. Not a fan of volkswagens but to be fair, all the manufacturers are dropping traditional vehicles and shifting to SUV's

For example, in the USA, the only conventional car Ford still produce is the Mustang and in Europe, the Mondeo was dropped last year, Fiesta ceases in June and Focus will be gone by 2025.

They're also dropping S-Max and Galaxy

My first car was a Capri. I loved it.

Incidentally, the rumours about the revival of the Capri name are just that.

The motoring press have speculated about it before and got it wrong.

Why would a company like Ford, who are dropping much more established name plates (Mondeo has been with us for 30 years and Fiesta for 47 years) resurrect a name plate that was around for less than 20 years?

Would wait for gen 2 version as now the EU is backing down on ICE, it may be a self charging hybrid.

I've had two. A mk2 which I loved... and a newer one that was thankfully just a hire car for 7 months... hated it with a passion. Awful

Oh yeah, I forgot I had a Bora too, same principle as the Jetta

Never understood why they changed the name from Jetta to Bora and then changed it back to Jetta

Something to do with marketing in different parts of the world. When they charged to Bora they renamed the Polo as Vento in parts of Asia and maybe south America too.

In the States they kept the name Jetta right through each upgrade.
