Anything in the Hope Valley, but particularly Win/Lose Hill, and Mam Tor, and if it’s in the legs over to Hathersage and Stanage Edge. Many hours spent on those hills as a family x

Ennerdale water.

It's a good 4-5 hour walk with amazing scenery all round.

"Ennerdale water.

It's a good 4-5 hour walk with amazing scenery all round.

Manchester-ish

Seatoller to Grange and back again. It starts off with a steep climb but the descent through Borrowdale is stunning. The return route is along the river and also beautiful

Happy, happy memories of that walk!

Yes, did both lakes. And swam in Llyn y fan Fawr. They were doing dam repairs to Llyn y fan Fach, so it wasn't very full.

We must've gone so close past it without knowing it was there. And we've done that walk several times

Next time we'll add the extra bit in!

If you get the weather, go for a full traverse with a night out on the ridge. But even just doing sections if it is awesome!

The cliff path around Guernsey, stunning scenery, the constant sound of the waves lapping below you, and some lovely cafés to stop at for a drink and an ice cream.

Closer to home, pretty much anywhere in the Peak District is good to stretch your legs. Mam Tor is beautiful, but always so busy

Same with Dovedale. I prefer to go more off the beaten track, there are some lovely places around Chatsworth that aren't anywhere near as busy. Lumsdale is one of my favourite places...not much of a walk, but worth a detour to see if you're in the area. I haven't braved Giddy Edge yet, I'm far too clumsy to risk it
