Did anyone see the Women's Finalissima?

I was really impressed by the skill level and how comfortable on the ball some of the Brazilian ladies were. Damn fine dribbling skills.

We’re away to Brentford. If we can get through this and Villa next week, then get a result at home against Spurs I think we’ll finish top 4.

It’s weird saying this but I think Villa will be the toughest of those 3 games.

Great player but he needs to be more consistent. When he’s good he’s amazing but when he’s bad he’s a waste of a squad number.

Maddison would be my first choice. We need a natural left back and a goal scoring/assisting winger.

I love Burn but anyone with a bit of pace and skill rips him to shreds, plus he’s a better CB. If we make Europe we’ll need a bigger squad so he’ll still get games even when we sign more players.

I think he’s good enough but at 31 and with his injury record I don’t think he’s the answer long term. He will always score goals when fit though.

Isak looks like a star. It’s still early days but i think he’ll be our main man for the foreseeable future.

Very happy with where Villa are right now and Unai Emery has made such a difference.

We are in with a shout for a European place but I think that is a big ask. We have eight games left and five of them are against sides who are near us in the table.

I’m enjoying our results, at times we don’t play well but still win and we are a work in progress. No-one will look forward to playing us though!

I was really pleased when I heard Lampard was back at Chelsea.

Fantastic news, our record goalscorer, just what we've been missing for a few seasons, someone who can put the ball in the net.

Then I realised he'd be in the dugout. The one he was sat in when he was sacked last time.

Still no goals scored.

Allegedly we're getting a £1.5 billion stadium.

It'll be interesting to see how our fans take to watching £600 million worth of talent playing there in the Championship when we face the likes of Luton, Sunderland and West Brom next season.

What a fucking shambles.

And we thought Abramovitch was bonkers......

If City win their game in hand, Arsenal just need to not lose. Arsenal do have the harder run it but it's a bit simple to say it's in City's hands and not Arsenal's. If anything, it's both.

I'd be disappointed going two goals up and drawing to be honest. It felt like you guys invited pressure in that second half but even after that save from Ramsdale, Martinelli fucked the pass to Saka on the counter. I'd say a draw was fair.

As an Arsenal fan I think it’s in city’s hands after watching that unfold today. I fully expect them to beat Arsenal at the Etihad . They have really clicked into another gear lately and I expect them to win their remaining games. Strangely they have gone favourites for me. Even if Arsenal do finish close runners up to THIS city team though I still think it’s a pretty amazing feat. We’re talking about arguably the best team in Europe, if not the world. Yes I know they haven’t won the Champ league but on their day, and now with Haaland, they are pretty special.

So upon reflection after the dust has settled I think a point is not at all a bad result. Yes at the time letting a 2 goal lead slip felt like a calamity. Factor in though Arsenals woeful record at Anfield and I’m quite positive again. I would certainly have taken a draw before the game.

I expect Arsenal to beat Newcastle at St James’park which a lot of people are touting as a banana skin. Yes Newcastle are flying but that’s a game I can see us winning. We came within 10 mins of beating Liverpool at Anfield for gods sake. Only Leeds have managed to do that this season. Even Man City lost there.

Somehow we need to not lose at the Etihad. Whether that be through our own inspired play, a bad day for the blues or them picking up injuries to key personnel (they do have a FA cup game and 2 seemingly tough games against Bayern before we visit them).

"It's difficult isn't it, choosing your favourite sportswashing project?

Speak for yourself we have not got any Middle East backing.

I'm referring to City and Arsenal

How is Arsenal being sportwashed?

Is there no Middle East backing at the Emirates Stadium? Or Russian? Nowhere near to the extent of City or PSG but to deny it is just fingers in the ears stuff. "

Not anymore… he is talking about Russian alisher usmanov, who held a 30% stake in arsenal up till 5 years when he finally sold his shares to the kroenkes.. even though he owned 30% of the club, the other shareholders refused to take a single penny from him in investment money… so he had zero influence or places on the board ect

Right… do I think it was 1 point gained or 2 points lost at anfield yesterday…

Bit of both…..

I was looking at what both teams have left.. there are still more games that worry me as an Arsenal fan than I think would worry me as a city fan

I am still looking at Newcastle away, Brighton at home… but I still think I have hope Man City could more than slip up with trips to Brighton and to Brentford on the final day!

I fully expect Chelsea to be world beaters at the emirates and to absolutely lie down at the etihad

If we can get a draw at the etihad I would be more than happy…

That game pissed me right off! Had plenty of chances to kill the tie but if course we concede two late goals with 10 men because we used our subs. I prey for Martinez though because he looked crestfallen going off and it looked like he grabbed his achilles which is a killer

Hopefully with Varane, it was just a precaution as he finished the first half. Otherwise I wouldn't mind him and Shaw as the CB pairing. Plus Casemiro is back now as well along with Eriksen to give that back 4 more protection

Wow. Best first half I’ve seen at VP for many years, absolutely wiped the floor with them. Could easily have had 4 , hit the post and the crossbar. Tactically brilliant. We moved the ball fast and ran at them, they resorted to kicking people particularly Guimarães who should have had 2 yellows in the first half alone.

Second half was great too. Very happy with that.

No. You will get the people using the ‘bottlers’ tag but when all is said and done even if Arsenal finish second to THIS Man City team having matched them all season for me is not a disaster. They are arguably the best club team in the world.

I think Arsenal are showing a lack of mental fortitude. A lack of game management. Maybe this is where the inexperience of the young squad and young manager is coming to the fore. They crumbled towards the tail end of last season to surrender fourth spot. The same looks like it’s happening this season . I still feel the future is bright. Champs league and all of a sudden arsenal will be attractive to players looking for a move. We need to invest in the summer though because we sure as hell know our rivals well.

Heck…. I’d pay money to be at those all Milan champions league semi final games! I still think fikayo tomori is the best English central defender and Southgate’s won’t give him a sniff…..

Anyway that winner will get absolutely canned by the other semi winner… we all know city vs real is the de facto final!!!

Was he at fault for De Gea being absolutely god awful with his feet? Or Sancho being indecisive and not making decisions quickly enough? Or Weghorst having the turning speed of an 18-wheeler? Or Eriksen and Casemiro being wasteful in possession? Antony was far from the problem with today's performance

Just thought for such a huge outlay he might actually perform guess he’s gone the way of the Pepe

Had him to have some shot on target and he didn’t deliver.

I'm patient with Antony to be honest. He's provided really good balance to our attack was previously all down the left and even if he's not having the best game, he still wants the ball so isn't a shrinking violet. Plus, he's still only 22. The fee was huge, but not his fault, it was late in the window when Ajax had already sold a few players so we're were quoted a fuck off price which we paid.

Definitely need to prioritise a Striker, GK and possibly another attacking midfielder as we look toothless without Bruno.

For years I’ve been asking… “but what does Jordan Henderson actually do?” But people love him!

Other big time footballers on my “what does he actually do” list have been hernan crespo (look him up kids!) and Thomas brolin (flashbacks!)

If Man U can get a win or draw against Spurs on Thursday then it looks likely Newcastle will get top 4. Absolutely mental when you consider where we were when Eddie took over.

Even more amazing to think we had half the players all along..... 100% have Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall to thank for the turn around, amazing job they've done

2 players on the scoresheet today who I never wanted to see in a Newcastle shirt ever again when Bruce was managing. They've done an unbelievable job.

The most Spursy thing possible here would be to get it back to 6-5 and then miss a penalty.
