on cold or warm toast. I prefer it when it has cooled down so butter just melts but does not make toast too soggy.

Spread it on the toast as soon as it comes out the toaster, so it oozes into the bread

Yes, I'm the same! I hate toast when it's soggy from butter, I like the crispness with the soft taste of it. Slightly cooled down. Perfect.

They only have the racks in places where hopes and dreams go to die. Where cold toast is appropriate.

The toast rack allows the toast to go crispy, you dont have to leave it till it's cold. I love cold, crispy toast with a generous amount of butter....just cant afford it now

It goes soggy because of the steam. If you butter it then put it back on top of the toaster while you butter the other one it won't go soggy!

That's an issue with your bread then.

Lidl malted bloomer is thick enough to take a good butter pounding and still stay firm.

Hot. If I’m not burning my fingers, I don’t want it.

A shit ton of butter (the technical culinary measurement) so there’s a big pool of melted butter. Must be real, salted butter at room temperature.

I find real butter doesn't make toast soggy. Only hydrogenated spreads do that as they release the water when they melt.

Marginally perhaps but it still goes soggy if you slump it on very hot toast. I like to feel and hear the crunch on mine
