I stand up when we're told we can undo our seat belts.

My knees need a little time to release to walk down steps.

No point my bag won't be at the carousel before I get there, I never travel anywhere light enough for a carry on

I'm on holiday, chilled mode activated

"I’m normally asleep. Do you clap too so everyone knows you normally fly Ryan air ?"

The last time I was on a plane we were racing a storm following us into Stansted.

The pilot braked so hard we had to hold ourselves off of the seat in front.

I did a little clap in my head when we stopped.

I'm usually the last one on the plane, less sitting around, and the last one off. I'm in no hurry and pretty laid back. Let all the hurry up people go first. I'll catch them up at passport control anyway !

I read somewhere that it's a thing in Armenia that as soon as the plane touches the tarmac all the locals stand up and run to the front of it

couple, us we him her.

As we are usually the only ones on our plane apart from the staff,we generally stand up whenever the fuck we like!

The beauty of the VIP lounge no hanging around in baggage reclaim.

So we disembark when we are ready.

This happens a lot in Africa especially flights into Lagos because the airport is so chaotic and staff so corrupt you will be waiting hours if you don’t get a head start or willing to pay to get through immigration

Usually like to be early on so easier to find space for your hand luggage. I always wait for my turn to get off and it's annoying when others behind start pushing to get past. What exactly for? Unless you are catching another flight soon

It's a good way to arrive at the terminal before the plane if the Captain has to brake suddenly

If the captain requests ' no ifs and buts' that everyone remains seated, it is likely that police will come on board to arrest someone who has either been a problem or has been discovered to be on the flight and 'wanted'.

Goodness no, I'm always last on so inevitably my bag is overhead miles away. Usually sat by the window and would have been asleep for most of the flight. I'm in no hurry to get off.

Normally I wait until it’s my turn, usually some people behind trying to get past. I’m normally the last on as never see the point in joining the queue. It’s annoying when you get on the bus though and everyone just stands at the door….. what about the family with the pushchair guys… fucking move down and let’s all get on!! How about help the woman with the bag rather than squeezing past…. Don’t get me wrong I walk fast so will get as near to the front of the passport Q as possible but without pushing ??

Both the airlines and bus companies do actually want to get you off, to get a revenue earner into your seat.

Some people bizarrely act as if they will be fined or berated by the staff for not standing in a line in the aisle.

I put it down to anxiety!

Likewise with my Jersey passport which ran out in 2020. I like to collect it in person from the office there. Don't want a a bog standard UK one!

this

If i have a connection you bet your ass i will be up with my bags ready waiting for it to clear to my row. I’m not going to miss a flight waiting around for people that (are rightly so for them) already in holiday mode

On the flip side if i have hours if connection i will happily be last off … just going to sit around an airport anyway

I sit calmly waiting for the busyness to die down. This is usually frustrating to the people trapped by me as I'm often in an aisle seat. Once the coast is clear then I'll get up and go.

No I’ve never understood this, let’s all get up and be the first of the plane so we can wait longer on the transfer bus for everyone to turn up. I just sit and wait for the traffic to move. I also like to take my time. It annoys the eager beavers.

Newry Down

One very elderly guy that I occasionally encounter on public transport rises from his seat, into which he has not been buckled, at least one mile from the stop, on a winding road, and hangs on for dear life.

Recently, another guy rose from his seat, and at the last sharp corner before the stop, he fell over on top of me and then stomped on my toe as he regained his balance. He never spoke, did not apologise and stood in a line of six other anxious folk who had also risen long before the request stop. Baffling!
