Hillsborough, NI

It was either Vanilla Ice - To The Extreme or The White Room by Klf for CDs.

As I type this my memory stirs and have recollections of Do The Bartman and U Can't Touch This which I may have had the associated albums for on cassette tapes, don't think I bought them though.

But Kylie is, in fairness, a highly respected artiste and considered relatively cool. She's done some hard grafting in the recording studio.

I'm sorry Julie but consider me well and truly "impressed". That promise of a fumble behind the bike shed is now unlikely to happen, due to your duplicitous nature for the vinyl.

Darn it. Duplicited myself out of a fumble.

As a kid I used to get bought albums for Christmas and birthdays, so I already had a decent vinyl collection before ever buying one with my own money. But when I did … it was the soundtrack to Transformers: The Movie. ’80s hair metal with pictures of robots on the sleeve. I was a geeky child.

Well I find some people like to ignore their more embarrassing moments like a Disney album of Peter André and pretend their first album is say Radiohead

I was more of a buy some blank cassette's kinda guy.

The first CD I got was a Sisters of Mercy one.

First pre recorded tape was the Jesus and Mary chain I think.

As a kid I'd go to the library for albums or tapes and pirate them.

My crowing moment was to record "in God we trust, by dead kennedys" onto the blank side of "in God we trust, by dead kennedys" because one side was blank

Yes, the one where all her hair is peeking out of her hat. That was a look that didn't catch on.

I've just checked and it was 1988 so I was 13. I'm also blaming her for me getting a perm at that age. 13 with a terrible perm
