Bath

Which one did you enjoy the most and why?

Looking for inspiration for my 2024 holiday.

I’m currently debating south east Asia such as Vietnam or Bali.

Catamaran around the Galapagos. Amazing. Obscenely expensive now though. If not that road trip around Alaska is definitely worth considering

Bexley

Going around New Zealand two years running.

The camp site chain we used the most issued a pass which lasted two years so it made sense to go back and use it until it ran out!

Yes, there was the small matter of the air fares involved!

Did a cruise of the Norwegian Ffjords with my Nan, Grampy, mum and step-dad. That was rather special as the scenery was stunning and I was with my family.

Lake Como

Hire a car and travel round the lake and over the border into Switzerland

Stunning area and the town of Como is lovely, although Cernobbio has a bit more swag about it

THE migration in East Africa, namely wildebeest and other herd-y types from the Masai Mara to the Serengeti or vice versa. Fantastic sight.

I hired a car and went round the north island of new zealand.

It was relatively cheap and so was staying at a motel every day or so..

I'd do it again but Id take longer, perhaps a full month if possible. I'd go to the south island also this time, which is meant to be even more picturesque.

Surely you can see that from the bedroom window of a Torquay hotel?

"Skiing in Austria, or walking the west highland way.

Iv done dry slop skiing but while I had the ski boots on my feet and legs ached so so bad I had to stop after 30 minutes.

Is that normal? And people fight through it or not? Iv never even thought of skiing as I remember how bad my feet ached so it’s always put me off

Either 2 weeks in California. Started in San Francisco, drove the big Sur, stayed in Santa Monica, then a few days in palm springs and then back up to San Fran.

OR

10 days in Verona, Florence & Venice. Just caught the train everywhere to places like Bologna, Lucca & Modena. Amazing weather, food, culture architecture and most importantly WINE.

Pretty normal for ski boots, but it’s it does get easier.

Snowboard boots are waaaaaaaaaaaay more comfortable so I’d definitely give it a try….plus it’s cooler than skiing
