We have two Roombas and find them very handy. There are obvious limitations and you have to tidy away stuff that it can get caught up on but they do a good job where they go.

We have a neat that's tied into the smart home. Cleans the upstairs while we're out. You need to allow it to go every couple of days, and an occasional al deep clean. But does a cracking job and we never see it

(From my hole with all the tinternet tin hat pulled over ears, there was news that the tech used in them was sent back to Amazon or the like, mapping your house. As it maps your house, it then allows data such as the size of your home - as a result income bracket, pets = products and disposable income. Location, when you are in or out, so if you work, what times, social habits. As they can link to other products it allows further products and data harvesting such as eating habits, sleep times (fridges, light switches), if and when you holiday).

All them there gizmos when dyson make you work for it.
