Sometimes when required. I like to think of it as ironic or satirical. But that's probably to make me feel better about myself.

More self deprecating mostly, as a counter to some who are constantly bigging themselves up.

Not really. I don't think I'm that sarcastic in real life. Sometimes it feels really forced and isn't quick, light or playful. Not the biggest fan of sarcasm like that but I do like the opposite sort of sarcasm.
