whats is best

thinking in dropping facebook due to many links that get randomly posted by facebook also notice when on mobile it gets worst with it

where as twitter its clean an secure posts are easy to read but the downfall is the text as your limited to amount of letters being use

what you all think?

Twitter isn't secure, I get spam DMs from it a lot but it does have the benefit of not being able to post those 'funny' pics like lolkatz etc

to clarify

twitter is a domain for people that i'm largely disinterested in

facebook is the breeding ground for the 'he said, she said' crowd

i am happy to be in the minority with these opinions

Facebook for me. Helps keep in contact with family that's mainly lives in Kent plus parents in France.

Twitter- why follow and pretend to be friends with someone famous when they don't even know you? Strange.

I've no interest in sharing my every movement with the world and much as I like people watching over a coffee I'm recalling not that interested in everyone else's private lives !

I have both but never use Twitter.

I don't really use FB either, the only way I have is for my hobby.

They both have there uses. Facebook can be very good for group communications such as clubs etc. depends on how you use them.

Good point femme!!

Right - I'm off to change my status update to "Just had a dump, a coffee, some toast, read the paper and typed all this at the same time!"

Or something else!

I feel Facebook has become little more than a corporate marketing tool disguised as a social media site... whereas twitter for the most part remains true to its original concept…

I don't have a Twitter account, but my Two Facebook accounts, one for my family and friends to keep in touch and the other for my business are very useful for me.

Our family is spread all over the world at any given time, at this moment I have one son about to go travelling in New Zealand and the other about to spend Six months in the States with his employer.

I agree there is often an element of 'He said, She said' on some peoples Facebook pages....we don't personally use ours for that, only for positive exchange of news etc.

I have two Facebook accounts, one for friends and family and one for business!

The business one has really helped me advertise and has brought in many jobs for me.

I do agree that some people use it to live out their lives on and hang their dirty washing for all too see, but that happens on here sometimes too...

Deviant City

I use Facebook as I have a lot of family in Australia and I have lots of brothers and sisters that I love to see what are up to! Dont post as much any more myself.

I also like the cat pics as I'm a crazy cat lady
