If you are invited to a family event like a birthday party, wedding, or even a Royal Coronation, does one negotiate the terms of attending or does one simply RSVP with a polite yes or no. In Tom's world he would respond with a polite yes or no to an invitation. If he sent an invitation and the respondent sent back a list of demands then in upper crust terms, Tom would say.. Fuck Orff.

What would fabbers do....?

I don't get invited to much (

). But if I wanted to go I wouldn't negotiate, I'd just want to clarify things. Like dress code, estimated end time and whether it was the whole family invited or just me.

What sort of demands??? My family are generally pretty happy with me so long as I don't get my tits out, swear too much and don't sing in the car when the windows are open

Why would anyone negotiate an event invite? I don't understand. I've just had a beautiful invitation through the door for an event I cannot wait for, they know I'll be there but I'll RSVP too. No negotiation needed, it's been a long time coming and will be a blast!
