Carlisle usually

Uh. Depends.

"OK." Means I'm done with this topic and don't wish to discuss it any further.

"That could be okay" means I'm not struck by the idea but don't find it offensive so would be willing to give it a try.

"It was okay" means not bad, not great, would probably do it again if someone I care about wanted to, but unlikely to do it off my own back.

You know what?

I've never in all my years considered what it's actually an abbreviation for so I've just found out!

"On March 23, 1839, the initials “O.K.” are first published in The Boston Morning Post. Meant as an abbreviation for “oll korrect,” a popular slang misspelling of “all correct” at the time, OK steadily made its way into the everyday speech of Americans."

So there you go. Makes absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever but hey ho....

A

I really hate

^ that irritating thing.

If I say "ah okay", I'm either tired or it's not okay at all.

If I say "Okay!" then I'm ending the chat on that point but happy with it.

There's a myriad of ways to use the simple okay.
