The new advert actually puts me off going there.

And I feel personally attacked with them slagging off the guy who ordered a medium. I get medium! Some of us don't want to eat fire.

You should email them and explain how the advert made you feel. You might get a few freebies.

I haven't seen it, I haven't ever been to Nandos either. Is it their USP to laugh at people who don't eat hot spice?

Of all the casualties of lockdown, and cost of living BS, why couldn't Nando's have been one of them...

I worked at nandos for a bit. Many people order not spicy stuff and nobody ever laughed at them for it. At least not among the staff.

Peri flamer was the way for me back then. Or mango lime with some vusa on the side

Plan.

I might even take a photo of myself looking grumpy with my arms folded and send it to a local tabloid.

Same, it's never appealed, also nobody has invited me! Pfft.

Despite all the praise you often hear out loud and in public, quite a lot of people don't have great things to say about it.

I've been a couple of times on invite only and never thought it was anything special. Says a lot about a place that sells chicken that the sauces and seasoning is the selling point and sold in most supermarkets

I’ve tried the sauces and stuff you can buy from the supermarkets but they’re not very nice so I’ve never bothered .

They don't taste anything like the restaurant version, all very weird the supermarket ranges.

They removed it? Bastards. Do they still have the vusa and peri drizzle at least?

I haven't been back since I gave up my 50% discount to go do a proper job. It's pretty decent quality food, but if I'm paying those prices, I want it to feel worthwhile

Only went once because I like spicy food and wanted to see what all the fuss was about, but the food was overcooked and bland, didn't find it that spicy and having to queue up for food whilst keeping an eye out for someone nicking my table made me feel like I was in prison

Not seen the ad, but I like Nando's. I think it gets a bad rap; it's not trying to be special, but does what it says on the tin, and does it pretty well for me (at least the ones near me do).

Sure you can BBQ chicken at home, but the point is you don't always want to. I can cook pasta but still go out for Italians. It's categorised as a good fast food place rather than a restaurant in my mind...

Nando's has seriously dropped in quality today when you compare it to before Covid.

I would never eat there again after having my first Nando's since 2018 last September (2022, so that's four years), only to find the meat drier than the Sahara, drinks machine broken (so no free flow soft drinks even though that's a main selling point), lumpy unevenly heated mash, and how the flying fuck can the line cooks at Nando's BURN garlic bread?!
