People in glass houses should not get pissed. Ballses up your thermoregulation, does alcohol

"I used to have an annual pass when my kiddos were younger and went frequently for many years. I love it, it’s so relaxing and so much to explore. If it’s a nice / warm day take a picnic as food is quite pricey. " Yeah I imagine it would be expensive in there. No bar ?

Haha, you can get a drink with your food (or just the drink) but no bar as such!

"Has anyone been there? I've stayed in Kew many times but never been through the gates. Am I missing much ? " It's pretty dull unless you like botany in which case it's ace. I lived 5 mins away for 5 years and went once.

"I'm sure Nerø can't tell you, because he's never been Actually he inspired me to write this I'm sure he'll be along in a moment with some flowery language for you " • The Royal Botanic Gardens, colloquially called "Kew Gardens", are very beautiful. There are glasshouses of varying ecozones and temperate regions, an arboretum, flower gardens, palm house, pagoda, conservatories, galleries, cottages, childrens' garden, tea rooms, treetop walkway, expensive and posh restaurant, brasserie and bars and shit. I got married there.... Despite the sky-high ticket prices, indifferent attitudes of their staff and general aloofness of that place, it's still worth a visit. I should visit more often despite living so close to Kew.

"I've been to Kew gardens a few times. Truth is I get taken when I am visiting relatives in London. I'm polite. To me it's just a huge park with a greenhouse a shop and a cafe. Yes I know they do tremendous work with plant species but I don't enjoy spending a couple of hours walking around looking at them. If I want a walk there are better places. The only place I detested more is The Eden Project in Cornwall. " You'd detest Aldershot more if you ever have the misfortune to go!

I'm sure someone told me many moons ago that they were going to Aldershot for basic training.

It's VERY expensive for admission and to eat and drink .... It's a HUGE garden. Good luck

"Not put off. Thanks! " They say, Our home in Cornwall used to be a barren landscape – a former clay mine with no soil or plants. We transformed this huge crater into a beautiful global garden, which sets the stage for an extraordinary day out where you’ll rediscover the natural world as you've never experienced it before. Explore massive covered Biomes to trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome. Enjoy extensive Outdoor Gardens, contemporary artworks, performance and storytelling. Discover places to rest, play and eat, and pick up inspiring ideas to take home on how to care for the planet that cares for you. I say..... Lots of plants and greenhouses.

It’s also home to the worlds largest collection of trees and plants. Kew is like no other; both educational and fascinating.

"It's a giant garden centre... If you know countryside it's nothing special " I think it's name explains what it is, it's not countryside, it's Gardens, so it's very different to countryside or garden centres.
