Solid 7. I love cooking. Adore it. Cooking for someone is another way of saying I care about you.

And I know quite a lot about various cuisines, joy of friends, heritage and partners who have taught me a lot.

I'm a great baker but an unimaginative cook. I prefer to follow a recipe to the letter, and if I have to sub an ingredient I never have any clue what I should use as a replacement.

I can bake gorgeous bread and beautiful cakes though, so I suppose it all balances.

Your cooking skills are more like a 5 let's be honest.

Your cake came out like a pancake and your biscuits looked like someone got the runs on a baking tray!

Fish fingers, chips and beans doesn't really take much know how to cook!

Tonypandy.

8/10. If I'm cooking, tandoori chicken masala, keema biryani, aloo Gobi and stuffed paratha always goes down well.

Roast beef dinner with all the trimmings

Cottage pie, corned beef pie, chicken ham and leek pie.

Baking; brownies, sticky toffee pud. Banoffee pie

Do a good sourdough bread too. Yeast was grown from sediment from sour beer. It's now 5 years old and very healthy.

I'm normally rather modest, but not with cooking. I rate my skills very highly. Meal that goes down the best is my rack of lamb, with the veg and spuds cook on a tray underneath so the lamb juices drips onto them. Either that or homemade burgers

BBQ season needs to come soon as I have some new ideas for sauces and marinades to make along with some new burger ideas.

I’d put myself at a solid 7.5

I’m enjoy the process of shopping, prepping, cooking and feeding someone. I’m a confident cook and will happily improvise, but mainly go for traditional comfort food.

When I’m with someone I love cooking for us. It’s one of my favourite skills to use that brings us together literally and figuratively.

I’m currently on my own and haven’t cooked properly for years, so my ingredients cupboard and motivation has evaporated. I’d like to get it simmering again.
