The Work Programme has failed, largely because the jobs aren't there to move into. Now the Probation services to follow down the same route, still without the jobs for people to move to.

Sometimes you have to pay for things, the results take too long to monetise them. The private sector manage to make money from these programmes without delivering any results. The "results" bit is parcelled out to voluntary sector organisations and small companies that go under financially. The model does not work.

The Peterborough model has not produced any evidence of success or replicability yet. The evaluation is still ongoing.

I'm having my rant early - sorry.

He'll end up with the health brief at some point and then we can have payment by results for that too.

A good result NHS wise for this mob would be the sick and the elderly to kop out think of the money saved all the more to dish out to these private companies that get paid big bucks for doing fuck all.
