If you like crime and history combined id recommend the shardlake series by c j sansom.

They're based on a tudor lawyer solving crimes, they're an excellent read

I've just finished Sandi Toksvig's book 'Between the Stops'.

I enjoyed it so much that I deliberately didn't read the last chapter for days. I'm not sure it's everyone's cup of tea but she's such an interesting woman and so knowledgeable that I found it a delight

Very into Tudor history any way and these books have so much detail and I found them easy to read sometimes I start a book and know I won’t finish it

Same here re the tudor history. I love the period. The TV series 'The Tudors' is what inspired me to know more about the period. But the books are amongst the best ive read.

I recently read "Where the Crawdads Sing" which was beautiful.

I often read adventure stuff about climbing and sailing and love spy stories.

I would be happy to try something new though.

If you read on digital platform like KINDLE Can I suggest you check out Joffe book publishers. They have loads of excellent cheap books by less welknown authors every bit as good as household names. Many are older previously published. Most 99p often a set of books 3/5/9 books for just 99p. I like murder mysteries. But they have other genres as well.

The Roy Grace books are a really good read.

If you like crime novels try the Thursday Murder Club books by Richard Osman, the idea is unique and the stories are very well written

I've read the Thursday Murder Club ones. Nice easy reading books like a modern Miss Marple!

John Marrs - The One, The Passengers and The Marriage Act. Dystopian slightly alternate future. Not a series as such but read in that order as certain elements are mentioned in later books

Jo Nesbo - the Harry Hole crime series.

Or something slightly different. Jay Kristoff - Nevernight, Godsgrave and Darkdawn. Fantasy series where a girl goes to train as an assassin
