Do you say this often?

Picture it, you’re alone, your not quite feeling it but all of a sudden something happens when you might catch yourself in your reflection or a feeling washes over you that your sexual mojo gets turned upto eleven and and you think, damn, there’s a lucky person that’s about to strike it lucky and get ALL of me.

Because I’ve just showered…dressed well…and I smell fantastic. I’m in a great sexy mood and it Friday night. ….

Shame I’m in work in the morning.

This is going to sound a bit shallow or ridiculous you decide!

Last summer, I had "that moment" I felt amazing, was told by mutilple people I looked it and off I trotted to a club with my husband, honestly I have never ever felt so sexy in my life, by the end of the night, I was standing on the dance floor on my own (husband had gone off to play, it's what we do in clubs) as my friends were at the bar and I looked around me and saw all the beautiful women, then men and thought how wrong I was, as soon as my husband came back, we left almost immediately and drowned my sorrows in a kebab and ever since then if someone pays me a compliment via here or other, I don't believe anyone.

If seriously knocked my confidence x

Oh goodness I can relate. Fab and all of this can really knock your confidence. Sometimes it dies, sometimes it doesn’t.

I used to go out and feel like people looked at me, and now? I feel like I am invisible.

But I think we all know ourselves and think how very sexy we CAN be, and some moments we can see and feel it.

Just like you did.

All the above totally resonates with me. I am pretty average looking at best, bit of a cheeky grin, but that's it. I'm perfectly at peace with that but sometimes I do catch myself in a mirror and think "Not bad for you, Felix, old sausage! Go gettem lad!!" And then I go out and am roundly ignored by those with fannies.

I've spent my life standing in clubs and being overlooked so it's nothing new, and I never go expecting to pull. Sometimes, just sometimes, when the moon aligns with uranus, i might get a snog and touch a boob. That makes it all worthwhile

Maidstone

It's definitely a dressing-up thing for me...

When I have the full makeup on, false eye lashes, tight dress, stockings, heels... I know it's a shell but I feel good in it.

My fuck-buddy and I were in Ibiza, me getting ready (he took all of 10 mins and then sat on the balcony), we were both drinking the Duty Free. He walks in and says "bloody hell, you look gorgeous!".

We were walking... nay, I was slinking down the strip, arm-in-arm, with revellers all outside drinking. There was a bunch of lads who cheered him, pointed at me and gave him the thumbs up.

Moments like that are rare, so they are memorable. We had a great night that felt like a Bacardi advert...

That's really honest and insightful so thank you for sharing your experience. There are the moments when you catch someone's eye in a club and you're asking yourself what are they thinking. Are they encouraging me to go and chat or are they thinking what's that old guy doing looking at me? I'm not the eye candy kind of guy so I rely more on humour and a bit of charm. If you get blanked then it can knock your confidence.

If I put on the 'face' and glam up with sexy clothes & whatever, I can be attractive enough to feel really good going out. But I think that's true of everyone.

If I'm fresh out of the shower or just woken up I'm quite plain.

But I actually like and prefer stripped back and natural looks so I'm more than fine with that. I like my looks and have nothing I'd want to 'fix'. Which is a happy place to be.

I'm very pale so don't wear tiredness well at all. That would be my only 'ugh I look awful' moment really.

As for being sexy... that's a mindset imho so it comes and goes.

If I'm feeling sexual I'll always feel sexy

Remembering that 'we're all someone's idea of hot and someone's idea of not' is great for managing expectations, disappointments, ego and self-confidence

Sorry, I forgot to add that bit (I'm old and the font is small).

I felt like not one person looked at me all night (hence the shallow part), I don't have the confidence to rock up to blokes but as I felt amazing, I felt I oozed "come talk to me" but it didn't happen, hence the looking around and feeling like a bit of an idiot x

I'm very much the same generally not someone who gets looked at or approached but like the TikTok videos say "funny guys are dangerous, you laugh and laugh then Boom your clothes are gone"

My issue is getting the conversation started

Lost my confidence a bit recently and just not feeling me at the moment but I'm trying to bring him back
