My nan’s spare room.

I’m going to friends and we’re getting take away curry in.

What dish should I choose,

I’m thinking Chicken Tikka Madras but I do like to try something different.

What’s your favourites.

Is that a dryish dish. I do like lots of sauce, I prefer to eat the curry with a naan bread rather than rice.

A reasonable amount of heat is good.

Lamb saag is on the shortlist. NZ lamb I presume.

A decent curry is on my to do list. There's a take away place near me, but I fancy the flock wallpaper and tinned music to go with my food.

The full on restaurant experience definitely adds to the occasion.

I always look at the Chef's Specials and similar. If I can, I like to pick something I've not had before... I've never had a curry I didn't like.

South Essex

Recently discovered chicken Ceylon. Similar in heat and texture to a madras, with a strong coconut flavour. Very nice.

Jalfrezi for me but it's not a very saucy curry but sits in the middle for heat.

You can turn it up a notch by eating the chilli's or push them to one side. There's a balance of meat/fish and onions and peppers.

It's my favourite to cook and order
